LinkedIn Profile Score
Paste your headline and about section. Get a score out of 100 across five dimensions, two specific fixes for each, and a rewritten headline.
This is not LinkedIn's official SSI. Your Social Selling Index is a different score, and you can check the real thing free at linkedin.com/sales/ssi. This tool does something SSI doesn't: it reviews how your profile reads to a prospect who lands on it. For what SSI measures and whether it matters, read our Social Selling Index guide.
What the five dimensions measure
When a prospect gets your connection request, most of them do the same thing: open your profile, read the headline, skim the first two lines of your about section, and decide. The score reflects that reading, not LinkedIn's algorithm.
- First impression, does the headline plus your opening line tell a stranger who you help, within a few seconds?
- Credibility & proof, is there anything specific backing your claims, or just adjectives like "passionate" and "results-driven"?
- Keywords & findability, would you show up when a buyer searches for what you do? Job titles alone usually don't cover it.
- Clarity of offer, after one read, could someone repeat back what you sell and to whom?
- Call to action, is there an obvious next step, or does the profile just end?
Profile score vs SSI: they answer different questions
LinkedIn's Social Selling Index measures your activity, posting, engaging, searching, connecting. It says nothing about whether your profile converts a visitor. You can have an SSI of 70 and a headline that tells prospects nothing. Check your real SSI free at linkedin.com/sales/ssi, and read our SSI guide for what the number actually means. This tool covers the other half: what a human sees.
The headline does most of the work
Your headline follows you everywhere, search results, connection requests, comments, the message inbox. It is the one line most prospects will ever read about you, which is why this tool always suggests a rewrite. If you want to iterate on it further, our free headline generator produces five options in different tones, and the headline examples guide breaks down what makes specific headlines work.
